To run a successful online shop business, you need to have an eCommerce payment processing system in place to be able to accept payments from your customers.

The online payment system for an eCommerce site consists of two main parts: a merchant account (payment gateway) and a payment processor (merchant service).

A merchant account is an account that a seller holds with an institution such as a bank.

A Payment Processor is a company or third party that handles transactions such as credit card and debit card payments.

Amazon Pay

Many people have an Amazon account, and Amazon Pay makes the whole checkout process very easy. Amazon Pay integrates with Shopify and BigCommerce.

One disadvantage is that for a business with low monthly volume, Amazon Pay processing fees can be expensive.

Integrating Square to your eCommerce platform is easy.
